This emergency help telephone service is available 24 hours a day, everyday of the year. In the UK dial at the cost of a local call. There are also local branch telephone numbers. You can find your nearest local number on the web. You can also email the Samaritans. You might prefer to write down how you are feeling than pick up the phone. The Samaritans can assist you with emotional support via e-mail. Samaritans have a philosophy of listening in total confidence and without judgment, whatever your situation and will delete your email after 30 days. Currently they are only able to provide an English-speaking service.
