A close friend of mine was recently prescribed Lithium by her GP after having been on Prozac for 2 weeks. It is my understanding that Lithium should only be prescribed by a specialist. Also shouldn't her GP have tried increasing the Prozax dose or try something else before even thinking about Lithium.
