I am a 63 year old woman who has had two years of pain under my rib on my right side.I have only been prescribed painkillers.Two weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with severe pains.I have been diagnosed as having gallstones and am awaiting an op to remove the gallbladder.Is this the best treatment or should the stones be removed?
