Support our work

DIPEx is a not-for-profit registered charity (no. 1087019) which relies primarily on research grants, sponsorship and personal donations to carry out its work. Our support is based on an ethical funding policy.

To date, we have raised almost £5 million to complete research into personal experiences of 50 different illnesses and health-related issues and publish the results on our websites, including clips from nearly two thousand interviews. During the next five years, we aim to cover over 100 illnesses, conditions and issues that affect us all in one way or another.

The personal stories on Healthtalkonline and its sister site – Youthhealthtalk – are  told by people from different backgrounds and locations all over the UK, enabling everyone to benefit from the experiences of others. People can look at the website whenever and wherever they want to, at any time and at their own pace. The websites are also now being used extensively in healthcare teaching.

If you would like to support us in our work, whether in the funding of a new research project, sponsoring a specific activity or simply making a personal donation, please click on the relevant button in the left-hand margin.

If you wish to discuss supporting us in more detail, please contact either Dr. Ann McPherson, Medical Director (Ann.McPherson@dphpc.ox.ac.uk) or Graham Shaw, Chief Executive (graham.shaw@dipex.org.uk).

We thank you in advance for your assistance.
