I am a professional carer. Has anyone experience in how to help my patient with weak hands to fasten her bra? She is very anxious to retain her independence. The only solution that I can think of so far is to buy front-fastening bra's and replace the hooks and eyes with velcro.

How about a sports bra? My wife doesn't have MND but another (as yet diagnosed) debilitating neuological problem that means that sometimes she doesn't have the co-ordination to do the fiddly things like bra fastenings. We found that sports bras are useful (as they are put on like t-shirts). Obviously it depends on how a particular person views sports bras but it worked for us.
