Carer for mother who had a stroke at the age of 83. Her mother now suffers from vascular dementia and some visual loss. She is registered partially blind. Medication: bendrofluazide, perindopril, (blood pressure) omeprazole, (gastric resistant tablets) citalopram, (antidepressant); senna and/or movicol, (laxative) calichew (calcium/vit D3 supplement) alendronic acid, (bisphosphonate ), detrusitol, (urinary continence).
She had a stroke aged 59 which caused right weakness, pain, vision & memory loss. Medication: perindopril, amlodipine (blood pressure) pravastatin, Ezetimibe (cholesterol), aspirin and dipyridamole (antiplatelet), escitalopram (depression), carbamazepine (pain).
She had a stroke caused by a clot at the age of 34. The stroke caused left-sided paralysis, left hemianopia (loss of vision in left field) and epilepsy. Medication: aspirin (antiplatelet), epilim, tegretol (epilepsy).
She had a stroke due to a clot from her heart at the age of 81. The stroke caused partial paralysis of her right hand side and problems with memory. Medication: Cardicor, coversyl (blood pressure), simvastatin (cholesterol), warfarin (anticoagulation).
He had a stroke due to hemorrhage aged 57, which caused left paralysis, left neglect and some early problems with speech. Medication: atenolol, ramipril (blood pressure), levetiracetam (epilepsy), paroxetine (antidepressant), omeprazole, (gastric resistant tablets).
