She had a stroke due to a clot aged 82 which caused left weakness. Medication bendroflumethiazide, ramapril (blood pressure), aspirin (antiplatelet).

Suffers from ataxia due to damage to his brainstem this results in lack of coordination and balance.
He had two stroke due to clots aged 59. The strokes caused ataxia, dysphagia, dysarthria and double vision. Medication: atenolol (blood pressure), bezafibrate (cholesterol), warfarin (anticoagulant), hyoscine (reduce saliva), Thick 'n' easy (thickens drinks).

She had a stroke due to a hemorrhage aged 60, which caused left paralysis, spasms, central post stroke pain (CPSP) and depression. Medication: bendrofluazide (blood pressure), simvastatin (cholesterol), fluoxetine (depression), gabapentin (CPSP).

His first few steps supported by a physiotherapist between parallel bars were wonderful. As he progressed on he learnt to climb stairs.
He had his stroke due to a clot aged 54 which caused right sided paralysis and muscle spasms. Medication: amlodopine, perindopril (blood pressure), ezetimibe (cholesterol), aspirin (antiplatelet).

Jackie suffered a stroke in 2003 while home alone and was found by her daughter 28 hours later. She voluntarily chose to retire from work so she would have enough stamina for other things including recreational activities in the community.
