my husband of 68 has recently been diagnosed with vascular dementia. He is refusing to admit that he has the desease and I cannot talk to him about it in any of it's forms. We have a business that requires books being kept. It has been apparent for over a year that he is unable to cope with it. I can run things quite easily but he resents being out of control. His way of coping is to be very agressive but only towards me. He thinks I have hatched a plot to make him appear mad. We are in touch with a "memory" clinic and have had one meeting with a doctor. They speak to him but he forgets what they have said and is confused as to what he is taking drugs for. He has been told he must not drive and this has caused huge problems between us as he thinks that I have betrayed him to the doctors by saying his driving is bad. Does anyone out there have a similar problem? either now or in the past. I would welcome some help and advice.
