Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales. Mind works to create a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress by:

Rethink, is a national mental health charity, which works to help everyone affected by severe mental illness recover a better quality of life. Rethink is the largest national voluntary sector provider of mental health services, and runs over 130 groups which meet regularly to provide carers and people with severe mental illness with a support network in their local area. Rethink provides a wide range of services, including advocacy, carer support, employment and training, helplines, housing, nursing and residential care. The website provides a wealth of information and support, including updates on treatment and changes in the law.

Samaritans is an organisation which provides confidential emotional support, 24 hours a day, for people experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide. Volunteers offer help by telephone, email, and letter. Most of the branches also offer face-to-face meetings. There is a section on the website for those bereaved by suicide.

Maytree Respite Centre provides a supportive, non-medical environment for people in a suicidal crisis. The service offers a cost free one-off four night stay in Maytree's house in North London. Maytree welcomes referrals from family, friends, employers, voluntary agencies, and health professionals nationwide.
