Researchers

Sue Ziebland
Sue Ziebland

Sue is Research Director of the Health Experiences Research Group and a Reader in Qualitative Health Research in the Department of Primary Health Care, University of Oxford. She has worked in the academic, voluntary and NHS sectors since completing her MSc in Social Research Methods in 1986. Sue was part of the original group setting up the ‘DIPEx’ project in 1999/2000 and was responsible for the idea that the websites would be based on qualitative research studies. She has been involved in conducting, supervising and raising funding for the studies ever since.

Louise Locock
Louise Locock

Louise has a PhD in social policy from LSE (1998) and joined the Health Experiences Research Group, Department of Primary Health Care, University of Oxford in 2003. She is now Deputy Research Director for the group.

Anne-Marie Boylan
Anne-Marie Boylan

Anne-Marie Boylan is a Qualitative Researcher at the Health Experiences Research Group, in the Department of Primary Health Care, University of Oxford. She is a research psychologist and her research interests include social outcomes for survivors of brain injury, children’s research, public perceptions, and acquired disability.

Abigail Coleman
Abigail Coleman

Abi is working as a research assistant and gaining valuable experience with the Health Experiences Research Group. She has recently completed her BSc reading Sociology and Anthropology at Oxford Brookes University. While at university she was involved in a qualitative research project exploring international students’ experiences in British universities and also spent some time in Madagascar as a research assistant for MSc Primatology students.
