Diagnosed with a brain tumour and epilepsy in 2002. Had a craniotomy, followed by radiotherapy.

Diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in 1999. Treated with flixotide and serevent inhalers, and on a nebuliser four times a day.

Diagnosed in 1993 with lymphoma, treated with chemotherapy, and then developed heart failure.

Diagnosed with multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis in 2002, treated with chemotherapy

Diagnosed with testicular cancer 1991, followed by right orchidectomy and chemotherapy. In 1993, pain in lower abdomen. Left testicle was found to be fibrosed and infected. Left orchidectomy, and testosterone replacement. Also has kidney disease and diabetes as the result of treatment.

Diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2001, followed by a total colectomy (removal of the large intestine) 2002. Secondary tumours found in the liver in 2002, treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Diagnosed with mesothelioma in April 2003, followed by left extra-pleural pneumonectomy (left lung removed, together with chest lining, diaphragm, and lining round the heart, and replaced with Gore-Tex).
