Testicular cancer (teratoma) diagnosed in 1995; orchidectomy. Secondary tumours in liver, lungs and abdomen; 10 weeks chemotherapy; then a higher dose of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant; in 1997 recurrence of a secondary tumour in the neck, which was surgically removed.
Testicular cancer (teratoma and seminoma) diagnosed in 1998. Orchidectomy, and active monitoring (surveillance). In December 1999 secondary abdominal tumour found, followed by 3 months chemotherapy (each cycle 3 days in hospital followed by 2 weeks at home), and then in April 2000 major surgery to remove remains of an abdominal tumour.
A lump was first found in the neck in 2000. After a biopsy, testicular cancer (teratoma) was diagnosed, and other secondary tumours found in lungs and abdomen; 5 cycles of chemotherapy (each cycle over 3 weeks, with 3 days in hospital); then surgery- biopsy of an abdominal tumour - found to be dead tissue.
