GYNAECOLOGICAL CANCER PROJECT INFORMATION
The Cancer Research UK Health Behaviour Research Centre at UCL conduct research trying to prevent cancer through early detection, such as going to screening and being aware of the signs and symptoms of cancer.
Currently we are developing a resource for GPs to send to their female patients, with the intention of raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of gynaecological cancer to promote early presentation to GPs. In the development of this resource we would like to speak to women who have had a gynaecological cancer and to get their input into it. We would like to do this by inviting women to come to London to take part in a focus group.
If you have previously been diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer your input would be invaluable to us and I would like to invite you to come to London to take part in one of these groups. The focus group would take place in central London and would consist of around 8 women, all of whom will at some point have been diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer.
The focus group would last around 1 hour, would happen at a time that was most appropriate for you and we would reimburse you for your travel expenses. If you live outside of London it may be best for us to get your feedback about the leaflet over the phone and this could be arranged also.
If you think that this could be something that you could get involved in or if you would like to help out or to find out a little more about the project or who we are then please get in contact with me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
