Lung cancer diagnosed in 2002, treated with chemotherapy.
Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2002, followed by chemotherapy, and about to start radiotherapy.
Diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer 2002, left lobectomy (lobe of left lung removed), and thyroplasty implant (designed to treat disabilities associated with vocal cord paralysis) 2002.
Diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer May 2002, followed by chemotherapy June-September 2002, and by radiotherapy from outside the chest to the lung October 2002.
Diagnosed with small cell lung cancer 2002, treated with chemotherapy, then radiotherapy from outside the chest to the lung, and radiotherapy to the head to prevent spread to the brain.

Diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2002. Had a pleurodesis operation in February 2002, followed by radiotherapy (to relieve symptoms) in April and October 2002 (died July 2003).
Sue was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008. She had 4 cycles of chemotherapy, which was effective, but had bad side effects. When the tumour grew again in 2009 she started a biological therapy, erlotinib (Tarceva) with good results, and is still having it.
