Discovered lump at age 42. All tests showed lump was benign. It was surgically removed and found to be cancerous. Had treatment for cancer.

Had routine mammogram at 52. DCIS was discovered. Had lumpectomy. Mammogram 6 months later found more cancer cells. Had mastectomy, and tamoxifen. Was later diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Discovered a lump at age 28, which was benign and surgically removed. Missed some breast screening appointments but attended for a routine mammogram at age 53. Results were normal.

Had benign lump around age 42, which was surgically removed. Attends for routine breast screening. Results have been normal.

Benign lump surgically removed in 1977. Had mammograms every two years since. Mammogram in 1990 and further tests found pre-cancerous cells. Had treatment. Now attends for routine screening mammograms.

Has attended for routine breast screening since around age 50. Has had a benign cyst, which was aspirated twice. Mammogram results have been normal.

Had first routine mammogram at age 50. Was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Had treatment for breast cancer.

Attended for routine breast screening. Diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2000. Had lumpectomy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy.

Shirin has always attended for screening and had normal results. She feels anxious before having a mammogram and whilst waiting for the results.
