Pain Concern is a charity that aims to provide information and support for people living with pain and their families. Their website is aimed at the general public and provides information about living with chronic pain and how to manage it. Most of the information available on-line is in the form of FAQ's, though various pamphlets and booklets produced by Pain Concern (some of which have been written by healthcare professionals) can be downloaded.

The Pain Relief Foundation was established as a registered charity in 1979, in response to the need for specialised research into the causes and treatment of chronic pain. It aims to carry out research leading to the alleviation of chronic pain, to find improved methods of treating chronic pain and to disseminate the results of such research throughout the world. The Foundation is closely associated with the Pain Clinic at the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery NHS Trust. It works in co-operation with the NHS and Universities to provide post-graduate scientific education in chronic pain relief.
