Background: Unemployed administrator; single (long-term partner); 1 child.

Brief outline:Pelvic pain since menstruation, 1992 and back pain. Treatment: Laser laparoscopy. Medication to suppress periods. Pain management: One-to-one psychology. Current Medication: co-codamol (Tylex), sodium diclofenac (Voltarol), amitriptyline and morphine for flare-up.

Was referred to a psychologist who helped her understand how stress increased her pain and taught her pacing and breathing.
 
Had to stop her medication in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
 
Doesn't use a wheel chair because she doesn't want to become reliant and prefers to keep active.
 
Worries that she can't pick her daughter up and has noticed that she will only play rough and tumble games with her daddy.
 
Suggests that it is important to hear negative as well as positive accounts on the internet.
